Biography:
- Inguimbert Nicolas is professor at the University of Perpignan via domitia specialized in medicinal and peptide chemistry.
- From 1994-1997 he did its PhD jointly at Montpellier 2 University (France) and Martin Luther Universität Halle / Saale (Germany).
- In 1997 he joined INSERM at Paris Descartes University where he was appointed as assistant professor and developed researches on (i) zinc metallopeptidases inhibitors (ii) peptides as inhibitors of protein/protein interactions.
- Since 2009 he was engaged at the University of Perpignan where his researches are focused on (i) the synthesis of marine-derived peptide in order to study the structure activity relationships (ii) the development of new peptide motifs for biological applications (iii) structural studies of peptides antibiotics (iv) the rational design of new tools for the detection of emerging pollutants.
