About The Journal
The Journal of Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (JCBT) is a high-quality, peer-reviewed open access journal that focuses on research into cognitive-behavioural therapies. The journal covers a wide range of topics, from clinical interventions to theory development to methodological advances in the field. JCBT publishes findings from all areas of research into cognitive-behavioural therapies, including those exploring psychological, biological, interpersonal and environmental influences on treatment.
JCBT is committed to the dissemination of research results to a wide audience, and publishes only the highest quality empirical research and reviews in the field. All articles are rigorously reviewed by experts and are accepted only if they are judged to be of the highest quality. The journal also features a variety of research reports, editorials, and other commentary related to the practice and theory of cognitive behavioural therapies.
Submission Process
Articles of interest for publication in JCBT include original research, systematic reviews and meta-analysis, clinical case reports, and psychotherapy process and outcome research. All articles are reviewed by an editorial board of experts in their field. Authors are expected to submit manuscripts either via e-mail or online form through the submission portal. Authors are also invited to submit proposals for publication in special issues or themes devoted to specific topics in the field.

Authors interested in submitting to JCBT must follow the review process and adhere to the guidelines. Manuscripts should be formatted according to the journal guidelines and should include an abstract and keywords. Upon acceptance of a manuscript, the authors may be asked to pay an article processing fee.
