Aims and Scope

International Journal of Neuroinformatics covers a wide range of topics in the field of Neuroinformatics, such as the study of human brain structure, functioning, and behavior; brain-computer interface technology; neural networks; computational models; functional and structural brain imaging; and artificial intelligence. The journal also publishes papers related to the clinical application of Neuroinformatics, including the diagnosis and treatment of neurological disorders, and the use of Neuroinformatics tools to identify and monitor neurological conditions.

IJNN's scope includes clinical applications of Neuroinformatics, as well as the development of software, hardware, and algorithms for artificial intelligence, robotics, and natural language processing. The journal also accepts papers in related fields such as Cognitive Neuroscience, Machine Learning, and Computational Neuroscience.

The journal's overall goal is to advance the science and technology of Neuroinformatics and enable meaningful contributions to the understanding of the human brain. It is committed to publishing quality work that reflects current advances in the field and encourages authors to explore new ideas and directions.

Computational neuroscience: the use of mathematical and computational methods to study the nervous system.

Neuroinformatics platforms and tools: software and databases for the management, analysis, and integration of neuroscientific data.

Brain imaging informatics: the use of informatics techniques in the analysis of neuroimaging data.

Neural modeling and simulation: the use of computational models to study neural systems and to simulate neural processes.

Neuroprosthetics: the design and development of devices that interface with the nervous system to restore or augment sensory, motor, or cognitive functions.

Systems neuroscience: the study of the organization and function of neural systems at different levels of complexity

Translational neuroinformatics: the use of neuroinformatics techniques to advance the understanding, diagnosis, and treatment of neurological and psychiatric disorders.
