Aims and Scope

The scope of International Journal of Neonatology (IJNE) includes, but is not limited to, research in the fields of: clinical genetics, fetal medicine and pathology, neonatal medicine and nutrition, neonatal surgery and anaesthesia, neonatal intensive care, perinatal epidemiology and outcomes, developmental care, neonatal neurology and neuro-rehabilitation, neonatal and pediatric pharmacology, and postnatal care. The journal aims to promote the highest standards of multidisciplinary clinical care and research to improve the health outcomes of infants and young children.

International Journal of Neonatology(IJNE) publishes original research, review articles, case reports, rapid communications, editorials, letters to the editor, commentaries and technology reports. The journal provides a forum for collaborative projects among clinicians, nursing staff, researchers, health policy makers, health administrators, and communities responding to neonatal conditions.

The journal encourages papers that are interdisciplinary, discuss neonatal-related health issues in pediatric, adult, and family care settings, and explore the impact of developmental care, changing practice and changing policy. International Journal of Neonatology (IJNE) also publishes articles that discuss the economic, social, and cultural impact of neonatal health care and how new treatments can be made available to underserved populations.
