Aims And Scope

Journal of Drug Resistant Pathogen Research (JDRPR) is an open-access, peer-reviewed journal committed to disseminating cutting-edge research and developments about drug-resistant pathogens including their pharmacology, clinical significance, and control strategies. JDRPR publishes original research articles, reviews, and other types of publications that address basic and applied aspects of pathogenic microorganisms that are multi-drug resistant, or drug-resistant to one or more classes of drugs. In particular, the journal focuses on emerging, novel, and re-emerging infectious agents and their drug-resistance mechanisms. The topics of interest for the journal include but are not limited to:

  • Bacterial resistance to antibiotics, chemotherapeutics, and other agents
  • Structure, function, and evolution of drug-resistant microbial genes
  • Molecular and genomic approaches to understanding drug-resistant pathogens
  • Novel preventive and therapeutic strategies employed for drug-resistant microbial infections
  • Phenotypic and genotypic characterization of drug-resistant microorganisms
  • Ecological and epidemiological aspects of drug-resistant microbial infections
  • Development of new drugs and drug delivery systems for drug-resistant pathogens
  • Clinical management of multidrug-resistant bacterial infections
  • Vaccine design and development for drug-resistant pathogens

JDRPR provides an international platform for the dissemination of innovative research findings and ideas in the field of drug-resistant pathogens. The journal welcomes manuscripts from researchers in diverse disciplines, including microbiology, infectious disease, and drug discovery, drug-resistant pathogens, drug toxicity, drug resistance pathways, new drugs, and other microbiological/infectious and therapeutic aspects of drug-resistant pathogens. The editors welcome manuscripts related to obstructive antimicrobial resistance, novel immunological approaches, translation of proteomic work, new drug delivery routes, resistance mechanisms, alternative drug regiments, microbial interactions and trends, and community-based interventions.

Journal devoted to the microbiological and genetic aspects of bacteria challenging clinical use of drugs worldwide. JDRPR provides a platform for researchers and medical professionals to gain an understanding of drug-resistant bacteria as well as find treatments and ways of preventing pathogenic bacteria from becoming drug-resistant. The journal focuses on bacterial diseases, their antibiotic resistance, and the strategies used to control them. Included topics are the epidemiology, diagnosis, prevention, and treatment of drug-resistant infections as well as an assortment of research concerning antibacterial treatments, antibacterial drug delivery, and resources for antibacterial drug discovery. JDRPR also explores new approaches to combat bacteria, including but not limited to, resequencing approaches, antimicrobial peptides, and therapeutic phages, among others.

The scope of the journal includes the following topics: Infections and viruses, Incidence and mortality, Habits and lifestyle, Genital Warts, Genetics and hereditary factors, Food and Nutrition, Experimental studies, Drug targeting, Drug sensitivity and resistance, Diagnostic techniques, Causes, BioMarkers

It focuses on the latest techniques and challenges on the issue of drug-resistant pathogens and provides a platform for scientific research and findings from both academia and industry. JDRPR publishes articles on the emerging challenges faced in managing and controlling drug-resistant pathogens and the relevant control measures.

JDRPR has an experienced team of Editors and Reviewers who are passionate about their work and their journals. They ensure that the journal publishes quality content in a timely manner and strive to contribute to the advancement of drug-resistant pathogen research.
