Journal of Verbal Behavior

Aims and Scope

The Journal of Verbal Behavior (JVB) is an international scientific journal that publishes research focusing on the behavior of verbal processes and their associated characteristics. The journal provides a global platform for the exchange of findings and knowledge related to the acquisition and development of verbal behavior and its underlying processes.

The Journal of Verbal Behavior is devoted to theoretical, experimental, and applied research on verbal behavior and its associated processes. The editors seek manuscripts that provide knowledge, insights, and resources useful to teachers, research scientists, and practitioners in fields related to verbal behavior, including psychology, education, communication, linguistics, and speech-language pathology.

JVB aims to promote interdisciplinary research in the field of verbal behavior, making it accessible to researchers throughout the world. It includes a wide range of topics such as verbal behavior in infancy, verbal operants, verbal classifications and theories, verbal development, sign language, verbal processes, speech production and perception, methods and techniques of measuring verbal behavior, verbal behavior in the context of cognitive and developmental disabilities, applications of verbal behavior in the classroom, and much more.

The published research is closely monitored by a distinguished editorial board and is expected to make a valuable contribution to the advancement of knowledge in the field of verbal behavior.

We invite manuscripts that examine verbal behavior in a broad range of contexts and from a variety of theoretical and methodological perspectives. Submissions may include original research articles, comprehensive reviews, research summaries, and case reports. JVB also encourages authors to submit brief reports on their new research or the improvement of the methods used in the study of verbal behavior.

We welcome any feedback or suggestions from the readers or authors of the journal. Feel free to contact us if you have any questions or comments.
